In Search of Truth: A Walk through the Gospel of John
Everyone is searching for the truth. Everything depends on it.
John 1:17 "For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ."
Jesus Christ is the ultimate truth on whom all things rely.
John 3:21 "But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
We must base our lives on the truth of Christ, otherwise all efforts are in vain.
John 8:32 "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Everyone desires freedom, but true freedom only occurs when we embrace God's truth as revealed in Christ.
John 14:6 "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Accepting God's revealed truth (Christ) leads to salvation.
John 16:13 "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come."
The indwelling of the Holy Spirit allows us to walk in the truth on a daily basis.
John 17:17-19 "Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be (sanctified in truth)."
We are imparted with the qualities of Christ (i.e., become sanctified) as we saturate ourselves in God's word.
Dear Lord - Thank you that, in a world of imposters, you are the one Truth on which we can firmly rely.

Beautiful! We cannot be reminded too often how important - how vital- is God's Word in us.
