"Unfailing...enduring...rich...everlasting...sincere...complete...perfect" These are adjectives throughout both the Old and New Testaments that describe God's love. When pondering the love of God, I can't help but think about how short I fall in imitating His love. How much I need His guidance and example in this area! His love is unfailing, mine is failing. His love is sincere, mine is often times fake. His love is perfect, mine is flawed and imperfect. His love is everlasting, mine is random and circumstantial.
Praise the LORD for sending his Son, the ultimate act of love! "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!" (1 John 3:1)
"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: he sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins...God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him...We love because he first loved us..." (1 John 4:7-19)

It is the greatest privilege in the world to be His child; to know Him and experience His love... & to know that His is able to help us to love with His love. Everlasting Love!
